About Rays of Cyan Hi, I’m Shana, a mom based in Abu Dhabi and the creator behind Rays of Cyan. Rays of Cyan started as a way for me to share my journey with my son, Cyan Rae, who was born with Down syndrome. What began as a personal space to document his milestones, challenges, therapy, and everyday moments has grown into a community where I connect with other parents and families. Through my content, I share our real-life experiences of parenting, early intervention, therapy, learning through play, developmental activities, and the little milestones that mean so much to us. I also share the challenges we face along the way, because I believe that showing both the good and difficult moments can help other parents feel less alone. A part of my content is about therapy and development. Cyan attends different therapies, and I often share the exercises, activities, and techniques we practise at home. My goal is not to present myself as an expert, but to share what we are learning and what works for us as a family. I also love sharing toys, books, educational activities, lifestyle hacks and children’s products that Cyan genuinely uses. I prefer creating content around how we actually use a product in our everyday life rather than making it feel like a traditional advertisement. I believe parents connect more with honest, practical experiences. Along with our developmental journey, I share our everyday family life — outings, children’s libraries, parks, play areas, travel, food, routines, and our life in Abu Dhabi. I want my content to show that while therapy and development are an important part of our lives, Cyan is also just a little boy who loves to play, explore, laugh and have fun. Through Rays of Cyan, I hope to create a positive and inclusive space for parents, especially parents raising children with developmental differences. I want to celebrate progress at every stage and remind parents that every milestone, no matter how small it may seem to others,
